• Step 1: This walk starts in Kneller Gardens and ends on the Thames following the Duke of Northumberland River, or Mill River from where it splits from the Crane. It’s starts and ends close to play parks plus cafes and pubs.

• Step 2: Catch a train to Twickenham or Whitton and catch a bus, ideally the H22 which stops closest. Get off the bus at Meadway. Turn left off the bus and take the first right turn.

  Step 3: Head up Meadway past houses and gardens.

• 

  Step 4: The river crane crosses the road here. Enter the park on the right.

• 

  Step 5: Take the path across the park if you want to visit the cafe. Otherwise you can start by following the Crane on the right.

• 

  Step 6: Take the path right after the cafe. You can cut across the grass to reach the river.
