Step 1: The walk is accessible with plenty of resting places. Some benches have space to park a wheel chair beside them.
Step 2: This walks starts on the path by the river at the Meadway entrance and explores some of the 500 trees in Kneller Gardens.
Step 3: Take a look at the large London plane on your right but stay on the path that goes past the tennis courts.
Step 4: The London Plane predates the park which was set out in 1932. The bark is full of character. The seeds look like Christmas tree decorations.
Step 5: The large logs were once growing in the park. They are a great habitat for insects, such as the stag beetles, who live on decaying wood.
Step 6: The row of Pissard's Plum has beautiful leaves and flowers very early in the year. The pollinators love them.
