Walk preview

1. Step 1: An intriguing 8 mile walk exploring the Hogsmill River from its source at Ewell West to the Thames at Kingston. Waymarking is generally good but missing at some key points. Easy walking: no stiles or hills.

2. 

   Step 2: Leave Ewell West station by Station Road and turn left into Chessington Road.

3. 

   Step 3: Where Chessington Road curves left, cross at the lights and then go through an arch, under the tree, in brick wall ahead.

4. 

   Step 4: You are now in Bourne Hill Park. Turn left immediately after the arch.

5. 

   Step 5: Walk to the pond and then turn left again towards Kingston as signed.

6. 

   Step 6: On leaving Bourne Hill Park, cross the road and turn right. Walk past the pond then turn left along a path just before the traffic lights.
