Step 1: Key features of this excellent walk are Bushey Park and the River Crane. This is an amended version of the section with reduced road walking. The chosen route misses out Hounslow Heath by exploring more of the River Crane.
Step 2: Come out of Kingston Station to go over the A307 at the wide, controlled crossing ahead. Walk on along Fife Road which bends right and then left becoming pedestrianised.
Step 3: Turn right at the T- junction with Clarence Road passing the Bentall Centre. Walk on down the left side of Clarence Road passing John Lewis to reach the Kingston Bridge.
Step 4: Cross the bridge and walk on to a roundabout.
Step 5: Bear left at the roundabout passing the war memorial. Go right over the road on the pedestrian crossing and turn left on the other side.
Step 6: Take the first right into Church Grove. Walk up to the church and then go left over another crossing. Go through the gate ahead.
