• Step 1: Key features of this excellent walk are Bushey Park and the River Crane. This is an amended version of the section with reduced road walking. The chosen route misses out Hounslow Heath by exploring more of the River Crane.

• 

  Step 2: Waymarking is generally good except between steps 62 and 72 along the diversion from the original Loop route.

• 

  Step 3: Come out of Kingston Station. Go over the A307 at the crossing ahead. Walk on along Fife Road bending right and then left.

• 

  Step 4: Turn right at the T- junction with Clarence Road passing the Bentall Centre. Walk on down the left side of Clarence Road passing John Lewis.

• 

  Step 5: Keep ahead to cross Kingston bridge and walk on to a roundabout.

• 

  Step 6: Bear left at the roundabout passing the war memorial. Go right over the road on the pedestrian crossing and turn left on the other side.
