Step 1: A varied 4.5 mile walk through woodland, fields and into a river valley. The final approach to Chigwell is on busy roads. The waymarking is generally good.
Step 2: Turn right from Chingford Station along Station Road past the bus station.
Step 3: Cross the end of Beresford Road, then cross left over Rangers Road into Bury Road opposite - as shown by the Loop signs on the lamppost.
Step 4: Just before the golf club house, turn right onto an earth/gravel track.
Step 5: The track comes to a T-junction. Turn right here.
Step 6: Walk up the gravel track between the trees ahead.
