  Step 1: Start at the Cross Well just off the High Street.

• Step 2: This central square is accessible by public transport from nearby towns, including the main Edinburgh-Falkirk bus route.

• 

  Step 3: With your back to the square, turn left to head east along the High Street. Cross the road at the pedestrian crossing.

• 

  Step 4: Turn right at the popular (dog friendly) Platform 3 pub.

• 

  Step 5: Walk down Station Road and then make your way under the railway bridge.

• Step 6: Follow the path to the right. Head up the short but steep hill! Just 10 minutes of exercise elevating your heart rate each can have major positive health benefits.
