    Step 1: Your walk starts here at Leigh-on-Sea. There are direct trains to Southend, London Fenchurch Street and Shoeburyness.

  • Step 2: Jan 24: the accessible path from Old Leigh to Chalkwell Station is open. You can get a train one stop from Leigh-on-Sea to Chalkwell to start the walk from there. If you want to do this please skip to step 28.

  • Step 3: Alternatively you may choose to explore Old Leigh first & then catch a train. To explore Leigh continue following the steps.

  • Step 4: As you exit the station please turn right. Walk along the road for a short while until you reach some stairs.

  • For a step free route to the path please follow the road. Turn left into High Road & continue following the road.

  • Step 6: Or head down the steps directly in front of you.
