Step 1: This walk starts at Hadley Wood rail station. Turn right between the estate agent and station to follow the path uphill beside the railway.
Step 2: At the top of the hill, follow the narrow path through the woodland straight ahead towards Waggon Road.
Step 3: Turn right on Waggon Road and continue, walking past houses until you reach the last house on the left.
Step 4: Public footpath 278 will be on the left side of the road. Cross Waggon Road and follow path alongside the house and field.
Step 5: Follow the waymarked grass path downhill.
Step 6: Go through the wooden gate, head over Salmon Brook on a wooden bridge and continue uphill to Stagg Hill.
