• 

  Step 1: Stage 1 of the trail starts at St Peter's Square Metrolink station, served by trams from many locations, and close to train & bus terminals.

• Step 2: Please note that parts of this walk may be damp, muddy and slippery at any time of year and especially after periods of wet weather. Please bear this in mind when planning your trip.

• 

  Step 3: Walk past the Central Library and cross Peter Street. Continue ahead on Lower Mosley Street, with the Midland hotel on your right.

• 

  Step 4: Cross Windmill Street at the push-button crossing towards Manchester Central, formerly Central Station. Pass the Peterloo Monument.

• 

  Step 5: Turn left to cross Lower Mosley St towards Bridgewater Hall via the tactile paving. Cross the tram lines and then two push-button crossings.

• 

  Step 6: Pass the stone sculpture and head down the steps to the left of Bridgewater Hall.
