• 

  Step 1: Your walk starts at St Peter's Square Metrolink station, served by trams from many locations, and close to train & bus terminals.

• 

  Step 2: Walk past the Central Library and cross Peter Street. Continue ahead on Lower Mosley Street, with the Midland hotel on your right.

• 

  Step 3: Cross Windmill Street at the push-button crossing towards Manchester Central, formerly Central Station. Pass the Peterloo Monument.

• 

  Step 4: Turn left to cross Lower Mosley St towards Bridgewater Hall via the tactile paving. Cross the tram lines and then two push-button crossings.

• 

  Step 5: Pass the stone sculpture and head down the steps to the left of Bridgewater Hall.

• Step 6: Continue on the boardwalk past the basin on the left
