Step 2: This coastal town is within the Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and has a number of Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and nature reserves in the local area.
Step 3: This sculpture called “Scallop” by Maggi Hambling is dedicated to Benjamin Britten, who used to walk along the beach in the afternoons.
Step 4: The North Sea was chilly but it didn’t stop us going for a paddle. If you come at low tide this pebbly beach has good pockets of sands woot.
Step 5: If you’re up for exploring more of Aldeburgh, head along the promenade to the centre of the small seaside town.
