  Step 1: Your walk starts here at Heyford Station. Trains run to and from Banbury, Didcot Parkway and Oxford.

• 

  Step 2: The post code for the start of this walk is OX25 5PD. The 25 bus currently runs between Bicester and Lower Heyford (June 2023).

• 

  Step 3: 06/10/24 This route is currently impassable at Step 21 because of flooding. Why not try the CV Heyfords Walk instead, also in app.

• Step 4: Stretches of the canal towpath are badly eroded so watch out for these as you go. Please read 'Best Ways to Walk' below.

• 

  Step 5: From Heyford Station car park cross the railway line using the footbridge.

• 

  Step 6: Turn left through a gap in the stone wall to exit the platform.
