Capital Ring Section 14

Walk preview

1. 

   Step 1: Welcome to Section 14 of the Capital Ring! This walk starts on the Lee Navigation, close to Hackney Wick station.

2. Step 2: 🚨March 2026 - Autumn 2028. There are significant closures along the greenway on this section of the Capital Ring which will increase the length of your journey by 1.5-2 miles. Please read the updates in the panel below. 🚨👇

3. Step 3: Exit the station on White Post Lane and follow the road around to the left to get to the canal.

   Step 4: Cross the bridge to the other side of the canal. You’ll see the London Stadium and ArcelorMittal Orbit to your right.

   Step 5: Follow the cobbled ramp down to the towpath on the other side of the bridge, so that you’re walking with the water on your right.

6. 

   Step 6: Shortly you’ll see where the River Lee Navigation and the Hertford Union Canal meet on your right. It always looks very peaceful.
