  • Step 2: If you’re arriving by public transport buses will atop at Woolwich High Street. Buses 51, 99 and 386 towards Orpington, Bexleyheath and Blackheath.

  • Keep following Glass Yard as it bears to the right. Did you know the Woolwich Foot Tunnel was built in 1912?

  • Step 4: At present the section of the path beyond Ferry Approach is closed due to construction. Instead turn left, then turn right onto Woolwich Church Street.

  • Turn right down Mast Quay. Then once you reach the water turn left to follow the riverside path. Can you spot the Thames Barrier?
