Step 1: This is a beautiful walk through the countryside surrounding the village of Bodicote. The route is also signposted. Start point is post code OX15 4BN.
Step 2: You can also reach the location by Train via Banbury station which links to Oxford to the south & Birmingham to the north. Bus services between Oxford & Banbury regularly stop at Bodicote.
Step 3: Bodicote is a large village with the original centre (now a conservation area) set amidst more recent development. Two village pubs provide the walker with an opportunity for refreshment.
Step 4: Parts of the route are often wet and muddy in wet or wintry weather and in spring and summer parts of the route can be overgrown with vegetation and nettles. Trousers recommended! Please check the “read more” panel below.
Step 5: Leaving the old Church School and the Church (note the East Window, a memorial to George Warriner of Bloxham Grove)…
Step 6: Walk along Church Street and up through the village High Street.
