• 

  Step 1: Welcome to the south west Banbury Linear Walk which starts in Bodicote (OX15 4BP).

• Step 2: Begin at the Broad Gap and High Street junction north of the village centre.

• Step 3: As this is a linear walk, at the end you can either return to Bodicote by going back the way you came via the Salt Way or you could also walk back to the Bloxham Road and then into town to catch the B3 bus.

• Step 4: Please note that buses along the Broughton Road are irregular and walking is not recommended along this fast winding road.

• Step 5: You are advised to wear stout, waterproof footwear as walking in the countryside can be muddy and wet, even in summer months. For advice on best ways to walk in the countryside check out the read more panel below.

• Step 6: When you’re ready, begin by heading north, along the right-hand side of High Street. Bodicote, where you are now, is a large village with the original centre (now a conservation area) set amidst more recent development.
