  Step 1: Start the walk at the meeting point by the pond. How many of the pond animals, included in the carving, can you identify?

• 

  Step 2: Beside the meeting point there is an old London Plane tree. Take a close look at the bark, and feel the texture. Can you see any faces?

• Step 3: Walk clockwise on the path around the pond, there are plenty of benches to sit and observe nature around you.

• 

  Step 4: Take a seat on the "Chatty Bench, made for conversation" or just admire the view across Barnes Pond.

• 

  Step 5: Walk down to the pond edge to see the waterfowl who have made Barnes Pond their home and admire the colours of the wild flowers.

• 

  Step 6: Look at the reflections in the pond made by the trees and vegetation growing on the edges.
