  Step 1: Your walk begins here at Wivenhoe Station. It’s well served by trains from London, Clacton, Walton and Colchester.

• 

  Step 2: At the start of the walk you’ll see this board for the Maurice Britton Walk. Its a two-mile walk you could complete at a later date.

• 

  Step 3: To your left is Ferry Marsh. It’s a former grazing marsh.

• 

  Step 4: As you continue along the path the River will be on your left & the train track will be on your right. 🚂

• 

  Step 5: Ferry Marsh does flood and you’ll see local birdlife. On our walk we saw two swans! 🦢 🦢

• 

  Step 6: Enjoy the sprawling views from the edge of the River Colne. Take a breathe.
