Windsor to Taplow Thames Walk

• Step 1: We parked at Taplow station & took a train to Slough & another to Windsor Central. This takes 30 mins. Explore Windsor, visit a loo or grab food before starting as there are no options on route. Then head down hill to the river.

• 

  Step 2: The route down is often busy with tourists but we’ll soon leave them behind. Turn right & walk to Windsor bridge & cross to start the walk.

• 

  Step 3: Cross over the bridge and take in the view of the castle and river scene. Once across take a left down Brocas Street.

• 

  Step 4: Take the path to the left as it forks, it’s signposted to the river and takes us between these old houses to an open field.

• 

  Step 5: The path is back on the river front. Enjoy the river views. There are touring boats and many swan here. It soon gets quieter.

• 

  Step 6: Continue along the path or closer along the grassy bank until you reach the trees and the path continues.
