• 

  Step 1: This walk starts at Blackhorse Road station - accessible via the overground, Victoria line and numerous bus routes.

• 

  Step 2: Exit the station via the step-free entrance and head to the main crossroads by the traffic lights.

• 

  Step 3: Turn left onto Forest Road. Ahead of you are the tall, modern buildings of the Blackhorse Mills development.

• 

  Step 4: Pass some cafes on your left, great if you need to stock up on refreshments.

• 

  Step 5: You'll head over the River Lee Flood Navigation Channel and soon see a sign for the wetlands on the opposite side.

• 

  Step 6: On the wall on the left there are painting of some of the many species that make homes in or visit Walthamstow Wetlands.
