• Step 1: This is one of a series of mud-free walks that are of medium length and suitable for winter days when the weather has been wet. The walk has public transport links at the start and at the end.

• 

  Step 2: Turn left as you come out of Tottenham Hale station. Walk towards the brown Wetlands sign and turn left again along the main road.

• 

  Step 3: Cross the bridge over the railway to continue along the main road.

• 

  Step 4: Cross the end of Mill Mead Road. Continue along the main road.

• 

  Step 5: Cross at the pedestrian crossing and then continue in the same direction.

• 

  Step 6: Turn right into the Walthamstow’s Wetlands opposite the Ferry Boat inn. Continue to the end of the metal track.
