• Step 1: This is one of a series of mud-free walks that are of medium length and largely off-road. They are suitable for winter days when the weather has been wet. The walks have good public transport links at the start and at the end.

• 

  Step 2: Turn left as you come out of Tottenham Hale station. Walk towards the brown Wetlands sign and turn left again along the main road.

• 

  Step 3: Cross the bridge over the railway to continue along the main road.

• 

  Step 4: Cross the end of Mill Mead Road. Continue along the main road.

• 

  Step 5: Cross at the pedestrian crossing and then continue in the same direction.

• 

  Step 6: Turn right into the Walthamstow’s Wetlands opposite the Ferry Boat inn. Continue to the end of the metal track.
