Step 1: Start at the Torres de Serranos, one of two gates that are the only remains of the old city walls.
Step 2: The old river Turia was diverted away from the city centre to avoid flooding and now the former riverbed is a glorious 9km long park running through the city, excellently catering for walkers joggers, runners and cyclists.
Step 3: The park is busy any time of day but is particularly beautiful early in the morning so maybe choose a sunrise stroll!
Step 4: Look out for the beautiful blue dome of the Museo de Bellas Artes (València’s main art gallery).
Step 5: Under one of the many remaining bridges that used to span the river.
