  Step 1: Today, we’ll be walking along the coastal path to Aldeburgh. Your walk begins here at The Dolphin pub.

  Step 2: Follow the pavement along the pub walls. Feel free to pop in before beginning this walk if you need refreshments.

  Step 3: Which of the cottages on your walk is your favourite? Keep your eye out, there’s some gorgeous ones!

  Step 4: As the road bends round to the left, cross when it’s clear. Then walk along the verge on the right-hand side.

• 

  Step 5: Did you know Thorpeness was developed in the 1900s as a private fantasy holiday haven by the Ogilvie family?

• Step 6: Ogilvie’s idea was to create the ideal holiday village “for people who want to experience life as it was when England was Merrie England”.
