  • Step 1: We started by driving, parking near Crowley Junction, walking to West Drayton & catching a train to Slough. By public transport this is an easy route too. Catch a train direct to Slough and get home via West Drayton or by bus.

  • You can exit either side of Slough station. We followed the signs and came out the furthest side.

  • Head right out of the station exit.

  • At the top of the road turn right onto the bridge over the rail track. Continue down this road for a while.

  • You’ll pass this church on your right. The start of the canal is just approaching.

  • Just before the bus-stop you see a gravel opening. It’s an unassuming start to the canal that connects to the Grand Union Canal 5 miles away
