Step 1: From Brockenhurst Station, take Station Road to the north side of the level crossing.
Step 2: Left will take you into the village centre, but you're going straight on.
Step 3: You will pass the Snakecatcher pub, named after a famous local character.
Step 4: Cross at the crossing, and head north.
Step 5: You will pass the Huntsman Inn, Brockenhurst College and the Careys Manor Hotel.
Step 6: Cross the bridge over the Lymington River. This is a popular spot for a picnic and a paddle. It also has parking.
