• Step 1: Ready for a Thames Toddle? This is a fun station to station walk for parents and carers with young children. Sandy the Seal is your friendly guide and shares water safety tips along the way.

• Step 2: This walk is mostly flat but there are kerbs and the walk has a steep section at the end. There’s toilets, playgrounds, tidal pools and refreshments en route. For more information about water safety tap ‘Read More’ below.👇

  Step 3: Start this walk at Chalkwell train station with frequent C2C trains to London Fenchurch Street and Southend Central.

• Step 4: The station is undergoing major step-free renovations, so currently includes lots of temporary footways to gain access to both platforms. The works are planned to be finished by the end of 2026

• 

  Step 5: To the left of the station entrance, head over the bridge on the right to walk over the railway line.

• 

  Step 6: Continue down the ramp as it turns left
