  Step 1: Welcome to the Thames Path! This walk follows the south bank of the iconic National Trail from Greenland Pier to Greenwich Power Station.

• 

  Step 2: The bus stop at Grove Street / Plough way is served by the 199 towards Greenwich or Canada Water. Surrey Quays is the nearest tube station.

• 

  Step 3: With the Thames on your left, walk around the riverside path to the entrance of South Dock.

• 

  Step 4: Cross over the lock, the entrance to South Dock. The dock is well used and has berths for over 200 vessels. Bear left after you cross.

• 

  Step 5: Across the river you’ll have clear views of the Isle of Dogs and the financial centre of Canary Wharf.

• 

  Step 6: Continue ahead and enjoy the wide pedestrian path here as you walk past housing and gardens.
