  Step 1: At Chertsey bridge head out into Dumsey Meadows.

• Step 2: Dumsey Meadows is a Site of Special Scientific Importants as it’s the only unimproved grazing grassland along the Thames.

  Step 4: Pass the weir and head towards the ferry.

• 

  Step 5: The ferry takes you across the river. If it’s not running you can take the road through the village and rejoin the path later on.

• 

  Step 6: The ferry was £2.50 (2018), you can pay in cash on the boat or by card at the Ferry Restaurant next door.
