Step 1: We arrived at Shepperton Riverside by walking from the high street bus stop, the train station is nearby too. It’s a 20 walk to arrive at the Ferry with good pavements. There’s a nice cafe with toilets to fuel up before the walk.
Step 2: We start the river walk at the Shepperton Ferry. Starting on the north bank.
Step 3: Walk past the lock with lock keepers house. The weir is on the other side, behind the house. There are toilets here, last loos for a while.
Step 4: The path is a narrow mud track but the road is quiet so can be used instead. It opens up here. This is a residential area.
Step 5: This open grassy area is lined with trees. The road can still be used. It then narrows as the river bends.
