  Step 1: Starting from the west banks of Henley-On-Thames cross the bridge and turn left.

• 

  Step 2: Walk the 2,112m (1 mile 550 yards) stretch of the Henley Royal Regatta course.

• Step 3: Henley Royal Regatta was first established in 1839. The head-to-head knock out races run for five days on the last weekend in July.

• 

  Step 4: Temple Island is actually the start of the race course, heading back towards Henley.

• 

  Step 5: Pass through Mill Lock.

• 

  Step 6: Continue out into the fields.
