  Step 1: We started at the visitor centre car park. There are toilets here and a cafe/shop. You can buy a kids map of the trail for 50p

• 

  Step 2: With the visitor centre behind you, head right through here

• 

  Step 3: Walk across the field after getting past the overflow car park

• 

  Step 4: You’re heading for this gate by the trees on the opposite side

• 

  Step 5: This humongous chestnut tree is right by it. So impressive! It has a bat carved into the top of the trunk 🦇

• 

  Step 6: Go through the gate and then immediately through the gate on the right
