  Step 1: You can start the walk at this location or head up to Laurel Grove where we started this walk.

• Step 2: Stanrigg Memorial Park is dedicated to the memory of 19 colliers killed on 19th July 1918 at the Arbuckle & Stanrigg Pit.

• 

  Step 3: Start at junction of Greengairs Road & Laurel Grove, head towards the gates at the bottom of Laurel Grove.

• 

  Step 4: Head through the gates into Stanrigg Memorial Park, keep to the right of the tarmac path. This is a purpose-built walking route.

• 

  Step 5: Carry on past the play park.

• 

  Step 6: Go left at this junction. Can you name the trees along this route?
