  Step 1: Welcome to this circular walk around South Haugh.

• Step 2: Start at Hamilton Caledonian Bowling Club heading along the path adjacent to Motherwell Road.

• 

  Step 3: Leave the tarmac path and turn right to head into South Haugh.

• 

  Step 4: You're heading through The Grand Avenue, a double line of trees that connected Hamilton Palace to Chatelherault.

• 

  Step 5: This Lime tree is quite old..about 250 years...and looks like it was planted when the avenue was created.

• 

  Step 6: There's a good view of the pond from the seat here.
