• Step 1: This walks starts off Stanton Hill (A514). If you’re coming from Ticknall Village, off Main St, take the first left. Nearest post code: DE73 7LA where you can also find the nearest bus stop.

• 

  Step 2: Your walk begins here. From the layby, head up the gravel public bridleway towards the woods.

• 

  Step 3: The track continues into Robin Wood. Keep straight ahead.

• 

  Step 4: You’ll reach a T-junction of flat paths. Take the path to the left.

• 

  Step 5: This section of dirt path is Melbourne Ride. Continue along the tree lined path.

• 

  Step 6: As you approach a gate into a field, ignore the smaller paths crossing the track to the left and right.
