• Step 1: This walk starts in a surprising place but this means it is fairly quiet yet busy with birdsong and greenery. We caught a bus (203/423) from near Hounslow Bus Station but Hatton Cross Tube is close too. Get off at Girling Way.

• 

  Step 2: Take a left off the bus to head back on yourself a little. The airport is opposite and you may see the planes landing next to this busy road

• 

  Step 3: Cross the side road, Girling Way. This is an industrial area and you’ll see people heading to the warehouses and work shops and few walkers.

• 

  Step 4: To your right as you walk over the bridge you get the first view of the river Crane. It passes the airport & runs under the road & tube line

• 

  Step 5: The path is signposted on the right just after we cross the river. From here the path will mostly run parallel to the river.

• 

  Step 6: The path is a grassy track in this section. It’s still noisy with traffic and planes.
