  Step 1: Begin at Prestonpans Railway Station on the eastbound side for trains to North Berwick

• 

  Step 2: Continue along the B1361 past the Prestonpans Miners' Memorial Sculpture.

• 

  Step 3: Turn left at the sign for the 1745 Battlefield & Waggonway

• 

  Step 4: You will pass The Memorial Tables, installed in 2018. These list the regiments and clans who fought at the Battle of Prestonpans.

• 

  Step 5: Cross the B6371 to the paved footpath.

• 

  Step 6: Cross the roundabout on the right, where the dropped kerbs are in place, and continue along the B6371.
