  Step 1: The walk starts in Great Elm. We parked on Hapsford Hill - there are some free car parking spaces near the bus stops.

• 

  Step 2: Turn left here down Elm Lane which you’ll find on the opposite side of the road to the village hall

• 

  Step 3: It’s quite steep so take care walking down. Some beaut plants along the way. The lane doesn’t have a path so watch out for vehicles

•

  Step 5: The bends in the road mean it’s hard to spot cars so keep your eyes and ears peeled

• 

  Step 6: Cross the road bridge across the Mells River
