Walk preview

Step 1: Start at the Vallis Vale car parking area just off Elm Lane to the west of Frome.

Step 2: Head down the footpath on the opposite side to the cars by the sign. The footpath here is tarmac.

Step 3: You’ll shortly reach the Brook. It was very full and fast flowing when we visited so take care.

Step 4: Head over the metal stile. This is the only way in so not suitable for wheels.

Step 5: There’s a cattle grid to cross immediately after.

Step 6: Winter robins aplenty when we visited. What can you see?
