Step 1: If you plan to arrive by public transportation, the closest train station to the start of the walk is Bristol Temple Meads. Multiple buses stop in this area.
Step 2: Brown’s restaurant with its Bristol Byzantine facade was formerly the City Museum, then the University Refectory.
Step 3: Continue along Queens Road. Many skirmishes were fought along this road during the Civil War.
Step 4: The next building on your right is the Museum and Art Gallery. Can you find the plaque dedicated to Colonel Henry Washington?
Step 5: Designed by Sir G. H. Oatley, in 1912. The Wills building & this tower were not completed until 1925, due to the outbreak of WW1.
