Step 1: This walk is step free however there are some sections on cobbled ground and some pavements which are uneven due to tree roots. Please take a look through the pictures before you set off.
Step 2: This walk starts at the People's Plinth on Colston Avenue. It is served by numerous bus routes and is a 20 minute walk from Temple Meads.
Step 3: With the plinth behind you, bear right to cross Colston Avenue at the triangular traffic island.
Step 4: Turn left on the opposite side and walk along Colston Avenue to the junction with the first side street.
Step 5: Cross Colston Street at the drop kerb and then turn right along it passing the flower beds onto the shared pedestrian and cycle path.
Step 6: Cross Pipe Lane at the drop kerbs towards the Bristol Beacon. There are accessible toilets here as well as a ground floor cafe and bakery.
