• 

  Step 1: This route starts at Paulton Village Hall. Bus routes 2V, 171, 172, 376a, 522 stop on Paper Lane.

• 

  Step 2: Head up the tarmac footpath to the left of the village hall. Immediately on your right is a memorial garden if you want to explore.

• 

  Step 3: Pass the hall and enjoy the planters. A stone here marks the spot of a time capsule, buried in 2000 as part of millennium celebrations.

• 

  Step 4: Continue on the wide path with tennis courts to the right. You're heading slightly uphill to enter Paulton Memorial Park.

• 

  Step 5: Turn right onto a narrower tarmac path that cuts across the park. The park was created to remember local people killed during WWII.

• 

  Step 6: Pass benches in the centre of the park or take a rest. Then continue ahead at the path crossroads, still heading uphill.
