Step 1: Oxleas Meadows has a free car park. There is disabled parking available. The gates shut at 4pm in winter. This is a short wheel-friendly route.
Step 2: Walk down the path towards the cafe.
Step 3: There’s a map here, toilets and a cafe that was even open on Boxing Day!
Step 4: Take the left-hand path as you face the large open meadow. Carry on the path, bear left until you pass the outdoor gym on your left.
Step 5: The path is paved here and is ok for a wheel-chair. It is also the same route as the Capital Ring and the Green Chain walk.
Step 6: The path gets muddy and in winter we decided to turn back as we didn’t want the wheels to get stuck in the mud.
