• Step 1: A four mile walk along the valley of the River Ingrebourne through woodland and fields. Generally easy walking but with a rather noisy link section by busy roads. The waymarking is very good.

• 

  Step 2: Turn left as you come out of the Gubbins Lane exit from Harold Wood Station. Cross the bridge over the railway. Turn left into Oak Road.

• 

  Step 3: Walk along Oak Road and then take the third turning on the right into Archibald Road.

• 

  Step 4: Go through the barrier and along the gravel road passing allotments on your left.

• 

  Step 5: At the end of the road turn right into Squirrels Heath Road.

• 

  Step 6: After a short distance turn left into Brinsmead Road. Use the pedestrian lights a little further on to cross the main road.
