  Step 1: Welcome to Heybridge Basin. This is a fairly long walk but offers so much in terms of scenery and interest.

• Step 2: Parking is available at Daisy Meadow Car Park off Basin Road. If you’re taking public transport, the closest bus stop is The Colliers where buses 73, 73A, 95A & 673 stop.

• Step 3: Go up the steps onto the towpath of the Chelmer & Blackwater Navigation.

• 

  Step 4: After around 250 yards you’ll then pass The Old Ship Pub 🍻 and the Heybridge Sea Lock.

• 

  Step 5: Make sure to ascend the sea wall, where you’ll pass the Jolly Sailor pub (on your left) & The Lock Tea Room (on your right).

• 

  Step 6: How many boats can you count? ⚓️⛵️
