• Step 1: There is a bus stop ‘Maldon prom gates’ at the start of this walk. It is well served with buses to Maldon town (288/75) Burnham-on-Crouch (31) and Langford (288). Paid car parking is also available.

• 

  Step 2: This walk starts by the pedestrian entrance on Mill Road where you’ll find the Maldon-focussed museum in the park by the gates.

• 

  Step 3: Head into the park on the large smooth path. There are free public toilets to the right near the entrance of the car park.

• 

  Step 4: On the left you’ll find this lovely little pergola to walk under. How does it look right now?

• 

  Step 5: At the other end you’ll find the sensory garden with lots of children’s play things plus a super cute little maze.

• 

  Step 6: Once you’ve explored, rejoin the main path heading down towards the River Blackwater. Take this left towards the river.
