  Step 1: This walk has been inspired by Peter Ashan's 'Freedom Walk, the Roots of Diversity in Waltham Forest'

• 

  Step 2: Take the Church Lane exit from Leytonstone Station on the Central Line. Bear half right along Church Lane.

• 

  Step 3: Bear half right along Church Lane.

• 

  Step 4: Enter the churchyard of St John's Church, on the corner of Church Road and Leytonstone High Road

• 

  Step 5: To the left of the church is an interpretation board

• 

  Step 6: Follow the churchyard perimeter path right, anti-clockwise towards the view of the bus station
