Step 1: Start by heading north-west these lovely houses on Farningham High Street. Can you spot the house that was once the village bakers?

Step 2: Farningham church is a grade I listed building. Pop in and find out when it was built.

Step 3: The doomsday book lists Farningham as 'Ferningeham'. Here is the village sign.

Step 4: Here you can pop down to visit the ducks, and if you're feeling brace you can dip your toe in the river!

Step 5: The River Darent meanders its way northwards through the village. Any guesses why this was built?

Step 6: In the olden days these beautiful buildings were once a working mill.
