• 

  Step 1: Placing the war memorial behind you with Rochdale Road in front, turn left along the pavement and cross at the pedestrian crossing.

• 

  Step 2: After crossing turn right towards the Church of the Saviour.

• 

  Step 3: Very soon, cross Egginton Road via the dropped kerbs - though the 2nd is not totally level with the road - and continue along Rochdale Road.

• 

  Step 4: Look out for these colourful waymarkers embedded into the pavememt along the way.

• 

  Step 5: Although the road is often busy with traffic, the pavememt is wide & there are fine shrubs and trees to look at over the fence to the left.

• 

  Step 6: At a fence gap, turn left down the steps. There are some loose slabs & a handrail to left. Go straight ahead over another pavement marker.
