  • The walk begins at Marsh Lane bridge to observe the tree-lined Feeder Canal at the junction with Feeder Road.

  • Step 2: The nearest bus stops are Beam Street at the other end of Marsh Lane, and Netham Park which is on the other side of the park to this.

  • Walk up Marsh Lane past the small green on the left.

  • Turn left into Herapath Street, named after nationally-renowned scientist and social reformer William Herapath (1796 – 1868).

  • Continue straight to meet Barton Hill Trading Estate at the end, much of which was the site for the old cotton mill. Turn right here.
