• 

  Step 1: This walk starts at the Wellspring Settlement at the junction of Ducie Road and Morley Street. There are toilets here.

• Step 2: The nearest bus stops are on Church Street or by Lawrence Hill Train Station.

• 

  Step 3: From Ducie Road you can see two blue plaques on the side of the settlement buildings, the newest in honour of Hilda Cashmore.

• 

  Step 4: The traffic island here has a beautiful planter and a bench, a great place to sit and reflect on the settlement's history.

• 

  Step 5: With your back to the settlement, cross Barton Hill Road. Turn right on the other side, keeping Beaufort House to your left as you walk.

• 

  Step 6: Continue for a short distance. Opposite is the small green space of Barton Green.
